Danny Leeroy Coombs, 72, of Hacker Valley, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his residence. Born April 9, 1946 at Hacker Valley, he was the son of the late Russell and Nellie (Mullens) Coombs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Legg; half-brother, Junior Snyder; half-sister, Mabel Harrison; and companion, Phyllis Bailey.

He was a jack of all trades, but made a living as a welder for Modern Tool and Die in Cleveland, OH. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, David Coombs and Dennis Coombs of Hacker Valley; granddaughter, Julie Coombs; and his sister, Shirley Gummo.

Services to celebrate Danny’s life will take place 12 noon on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Mike Riffle officiating. Burial will follow in Cutlip Cemetery, Hacker Valley. Friends may join the family for visitation 6-9 on Friday evening at the funeral home.
