Obituary for Darlene D. Helm Darlene D. Helm, age 79, passed away at her home on Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born in Garrison, North Dakota, on July 2, 1938, the youngest daughter out of Henry and Emma (Benderwald) Mautz’s nine children. Darlene was very active in the Wonder Lake Nativity Lutheran Church.

She had a great sense of humor, loved her two cats and enjoyed gambling, going antiquing and drinking coffee. Most of all though, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Darlene is survived by her loving children: Jennifer Helm, James Helm and Todd (Josephine) Helm; cherished granddaughter: Sara Helm; beloved sister: Iona Ferder; dear niece: Jayne Ferder-Coyne and dear great-niece: Skyler Coyne. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jim Helm, and her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nativity Lutheran Church, 3506 E. Wonder Lake Rd.
