Obituary for Darrel Claude Martinson Darrel Claude Martinson (Bud), 85, passed away on 22 May 2018 at his home in Layton, Utah surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Leah Mae Martinson. They shared 64 years of marriage together.

He was born in Ogden, Utah, son of Charles E and Catherine Pueschel Martinson on 6 October 1932. He attended Ogden High School then entered into the US Army as a private in the Korean War. He retired from Menlove Dodge Toyota at age 65 and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping with his family, and the Utah Jazz.

He married Leah Mae Daley on 1 February 1954. On 11 October 1960 their marriage was sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. He left behind a legacy of faith in Christ and service to his family and God.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a High Priest in the 17th Ward in the Layton Utah Stake. He served as a stake missionary and Seventy in the stake. He served for several years as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple.

He loved the Lord and was a great example to his family and anyone who knew him. Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Brigitte Yockey, and a brother, Ernest Martinson. He is survived by his wife, Leah Martinson, his four children, Deborah (John) Rainford, David (Dana) Martinson, Dwain (Tammy) Martinson, LeAnn (Jerry) Moss, 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, sister, Norma McPhie, brother, Steven Martinson, and one great great grand daughter on the way.

The viewing will be held 28 May 2018 from 6-8 pm at 1290 N Church Street in the Layton 17th Ward building. The funeral will be held Tuesday 29 May 2018 at the same address with a viewing beginning 10am and the funeral service to begin at 11:00. Interment will be in the Ogden City Cemetery.
