OBITUARY Daryl “Murt” L. Murtle December 25, 1938 – July 26, 2018 Daryl L. Murtle, 79, died on July 26, 2018 at Fleur Heights Care Center. Daryl was born on December 25, 1938 to Charles and Velma (Overton) Murtle in Des Moines. He retired as a printer and pressman for The Printer.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Darla Lowe (Don) of Indianola; sons, David (Rita) of Des Moines, Derek (Sherry) of Des Moines, and Darin (Kelly) of Ankeny; brother, Galen (Joyce) Murtle of Des Moines; sister-in-law, Cleta Murtle; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rodney. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5-7 pm at McLaren’s Funeral Chapel in West Des Moines.

Funeral services will be 10 am on Tuesday, July 31 at McLaren’s with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at mclarensresthavenchapel.com.
