Dave Eugene Hill has been returned to the great spirit and reunited with his son, Eddie on October 19th 2018 of heart failure. He was born to Leander Enoch Hill and Fordelia Annie Ion Terkleson on July 13th 1944 he was second to the youngest of 10 children, Lucille, Dale, Glenn, James, Doris, Norma, Darlene, and Annalee, and Juanita. Dave married and divorced several times until he met Lynn in 1991.

They married two years later. Together they raised Eddie and John and his step children from another marriage, he loved all of his children equally. He is survived by wife, Lynn, son John, and grandson Tanner, stepchildren, Terry Gleason, Randy, Rhonda, Flori, Treavy, Kenzi, Jackie and 32 grandchildren and one grandchild on the way.

Also His sisters, Doris, Darlene, Juanita and hundreds of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Dave drove semi trucks for a living for many years he later changed over to diesel mechanics for 20 years until retirement . He loved to build fast cars and fast motorcycles and he loved to trade, hunt and shoot guns.

All the kids loved whenever he came around to see what he had to trade. He was also known as a great storyteller and funny jokes. He was also the fixer in the family.

If anybody had a problem he could figure it out and get the job done. He may have had to think about it for a bit, but always found a solution. .

Never found anything that he could not fix. He loved his family very much and love to tease and play with the children he loved being around his grandchildren, they lit up his eyes and enjoyed every Tea party, every sword fight and every finger nail painting session. After retirement, he loved going and participating in car shows around Utah received many Awards.

It became a big family affair at each show with family and friends getting together and enjoying each other’s company and he was very proud of the show cars that he built with the help of his family and his friends. He was also known for his homemade pancakes. Not many entered our home and left without getting fresh pancakes from Papa Dave for breakfast.

He was always there to listen and had good advice for many his stories and his jokes received all the attention when he was around . He will be greatly missed, he is loved by so many, young and old. Ride on Chief Ride on!

! ! Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, at 1 PM in the Stockton 1st Ward.

Viewings will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM and also on Friday from 11:30 to 12:30 BOTH at the Church. Burial will follow in the Tooele City Cemetery in the care of Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home. Please leave a fond memory or condolence.
