Dave Hibbard, age 85, a lifelong resident of Sugar Camp, WI, passed away on December 12, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Dave was born on April 13, 1933 in Sugar Camp, WI to Maurice and Frances Hibbard. He was a 1951 graduate of Three Lakes High School.

Dave married his wife, Lois (NEE Tillman), on July 27, 1957 in Three Lakes, WI at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. He worked for Red Dot Farms (which eventually became Frito-Lay Farms) in Sugar Camp for 35 years as Farm Manager. … Read More » After retiring from Frito-Lay, he worked as a maintenance man for Camp Marimeta for 6 years.

Dave was actively involved with his children and the youth of his community. He was one of five men who started the Boys Club in Sugar Camp, which became the Boys and Girls Club and finally the Sugar Camp Youth Club. During that time he coached and helped build the baseball diamonds and utility buildings, creating a wonderful park for the Sugar Camp youth.

Dave was a member of St. Kunegunda of Poland Catholic Church in Sugar Camp where he participated in the Parrish Council, building committee and ushered for 50 years. He served on the Three Lakes School Board and was a past-president. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, gardening, and playing cards.

He was an avid sportsman, he played baseball and softball for many years. Above all, family was most important to him. One of his greatest joys was watching his children and grandchildren grow up.

Dave proudly served in the US Army during The Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Alice Kasmarek and Maureen Hibbard. Dave is survived by his wife of 62 years: Lois Hibbard of Sugar Camp, WI; children: Kyle (Jayme) Hibbard of Sugar Camp, WI, Colleen Picard of Green Bay, WI, Kay Adams of Green Bay, WI, Mark (Tracy) Hibbard of Green Bay, WI, and Joel (Beth) Hibbard of De Pere, WI.

Dave and Lois laid the foundation for a great family including 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dave also has numerous nieces; nephews; other family; and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday November 18, 2018 at St. Kunegunda of Poland Catholic Church in Sugar Camp, WI.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 at the Church.
