David’s Obituary David A. Gray, age 72 of Rockford, IL, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He was born on December 4, 1946 in Pearl City, IL. David married Cheryl Flack and she passed in May of 1970.

He later married Christine Swingley. He was a graduate of Pearl City High School. David was a business owner, owing several over the years.

He was also a truck driver for many years and lastly, a school bus driver. He loved putting together puzzles and was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan. David is survived by his wife, Christine Gray of Rockford; son, Jeff (Bonnie) Gray of Winnebago; daughter, Barb (Keith) Hanson of Winnebago; grandchildren, Betsy Gray, David Hanson, and Cassie Gray; and several step-children and step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Cheryl; and son, Wayne Allen. A committal service will be held on Friday, January 25th at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. Condolences may be shared with his family at www.
