OBITUARY David Corbett Barefoot Sr. November 10, 1956 – December 6, 2018 Play Tribute Movie David Corbett Barefoot, Sr. 62, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Wake Med Hospital, surrounded by his wife and children. Mr. Barefoot was born November 10, 1956 in Dunn to the late Ernest Corbett Barefoot and the late Hazel Godwin Barefoot. He served 12 years in the National Guard and drove trucks for Alphin Brothers for 35 years.

Mr. Barefoot was a devoted and loving husband, daddy, papa and friend. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Jill Barefoot; daughters: Heather Hawkins and husband Chris of Wilmington and Amber Sills and husband Brian of Coats; sons: David Barefoot, Jr. and wife Crystal of Sampson County and Noah Barefoot of Coats; sister: Shirley Parrish and husband Andy of Dunn; grandchildren: Autumn, Summer, Chance, Raegan, Brianna, Aniston, Savannah, Anakin, Zachary and Dalton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Lee’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and at other times in the home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of Lee’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in Erwin Memorial Park with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers. The family would like to thank the Erwin and Dunn Emergency Services as well as the Physicians and Nurses at both Betsy Johnson and Wake Med Hospitals.
