Obituary for David Earl “Max” Glick David Earl “Max” Glick age 78 passed away September 11, 2018. He was born August 15, 1940 to the late Carl and Hilda Glick in Columbus, Ohio. Served in U.S. Army.

Member of Friendly Freewill Baptist Church. Max had a strong work ethic and was self employed all his career. He was a excellent diesel mechanic, owner /operator of several trucks and former owner of the Junk Yard Lounge and Valley Crossing Salvage Yard.

His favorite passion was building his own race cars and participating in oval track car racing for over 55 years. He won numerous events and track championship at Columbus Motors Speedway, Mansfield and Kil Kare Race Tracks. He will always be remembered as a generous person by the giving of his time/skill/money to help everyone.

He would gladly offer a listening ear, give you his last dollar and made sure no one left his establishment hungry whether they could pay or not. He would always say “Kid its going to be all right”. Let me fix you one of my famous Pizza!

He is preceded in death by his parents,; daughter, Kimberly Hughes; grandson, Garrett Hughes; stepson, Chris Manley. Survived by daughter, Melody and Daniel Look of North Carolina; sisters, Ruth Alley, Sara (Jack) Hensler, Bonnie (Mark) Renne, Catherine (Pezor) Niebert, Janie (Bob) Greene; brothers, George (Joyce) Glick, Jerry (Pam) Glick, Bobby (Donna) Glick; stepsons, Michael (Amber) Manley, Robert (Colleen) McQuaid; grandchildren, Alexis, Kaylee, Jessica, Tyler, Kira, Kane, Christopher, Justin, Hannah, Morgan, Alex; great grandchildren, Alan, Anthony, Kimberly Dawn. Very special friends, Della and Russ Metzger.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Saturday, Sept, 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. Walnut Hill Cemetery, 975 Rathmell Rd. Pastor Alan Wright officiating. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of David Earl “Max” Glick please visit our Sympathy Store.
