A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald DeLucia at 10 A.M. Saturday at St. Charles Church for David H. Playforth, 63 of Boardman who passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at his home with his loving family by his side. David was born July 7, 1955 in Youngstown, a son of William and Mary Lou Oglive Playforth.

He was a 1974 graduate of Boardman High School and MCCTC where he studied Auto Body Repair. David worked for the Auto Body Dept of Cole Valley Cadillac in Warren. He was a member of St. Charles Church and enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.

David leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Diane M. Comstock, whom he married May 10, 1980, daughters Mary “Katie” (Jason) Gaither; Elizabeth (Thomas) Hofus; Sarah (Fiancee’ Jeff Gilger) Playforth, grandchildren Miley, Addyson, Wyllow, Baylee and Rayne, father and mother- in- law Robert and Mary Ann Comstock. He also leaves brothers and sisters- in- law, plus several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, David is preceded in death by a brother Bruce Playforth.
