60, of Coventry, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Richard and Catherine (Higgins) Canning. David is survived by his loving brother Steven Canning of Cranston and he was the brother of the late Diane Alexander.

He was the cherished uncle of Dylan and Taylor Alexander. David was the owner and operator of Old Geezer Sportswear. Earlier in life, David was a great baseball player.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Home Service on Friday, February 1st, at 11:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick, RI 02893.
