Obituary for David J. Conger David (Nut-C) J. Conger, 66, of Oakfield, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital with complications from pneumonia. He was born on October 29, 1951, the son of Alvin and Margaret (Ryan) Conger. He was a graduate of Oakfield High School, Class of 1970.

He continued his education and graduated from Culinary School in 1972. He worked at numerous restaurants, owned and operated Food For You Catering and Village Pub N Grill. He was an avid Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan.

He loved cooking, being with people, pulling pranks, playing bingo, and had a heart of gold. He is survived by his brothers: Dennis (Judy), Dale (Barb) both of Fond du Lac, Dean (Nancy) of Oakfield; his sisters: Deanna (Pete) Haen, Doreen Conger, Deidra Wood and Darilyn Hooper all of Oakfield, many nieces and nephews, his sister-in-law Barb E. Conger of Elcho and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Daniel, two brother-in-laws: Jon Wood and Robert Hooper.

VISITATION: Family and friends may call on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 4:30 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel. Per David’s request cremation has taken place.

A private inurnment will be at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of David J. Conger please visit our Sympathy Store.
