David James Smith, age 37 of Leitchfield passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Leitchfield. He was born February 28, 1981 in Hardinsburg, KY the son of Leslie Smith, Sr. and the late Regina Willoughby Smith. He is survived by his wife, Angel Smith, father, Leslie Smith, Sr. (Margaret) of Calvert City, son, Montgomery Tanner Smith of Clarkson, daughter, Talana Star Smith of Big Clifty, step daughter, Ashley Love, grandchildren, Kinsley Smith and Aniyah Smith, step grandchild, Allysa Dearmond, brother, Les Smith, Jr. of Marshall County, step brother, Richard Elliott, step sister, Carol Hoffman, half brothers, Jimmy Lee Carden and Joseph Carden and half sisters, Melinda Fay Schultz and Christie Schultz.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Regina Willoughby Smith, maternal grandparents, Boothill and Nancy Willoughby and paternal grandparents, Stanley and Mary Jo Smith. Cremation was chosen in lieu of burial.
