David L. Bordeau, 69, of Bellaire, passed away on September 1, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 25, 1949, the son of Howard and Delima (Young) Bordeau. Dave was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing softball as well as bowling.

He was in the plumbing and heating business for many years then went on to work in maintenance at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility for the last 7 years before retiring in 2014. On July 13, 2002, in Alba, he married Rose V. Thrasher who survives. Also surviving are 6 children, Clarissa (Scott) Knisss of Kalkaska, Angie (Daryl) Purdy of Central Lake, Tamara Disbrow of Central Lake, Dustin (Rosie) Kotz of Cadillac, Amanda Kotz of Rapid City, Nicholas (Michelle) Kotz of Mancelona, 2 sisters, Linda Downs of TX, Dawn (Edward) Erwin of Prescott, MI, a brother, Rodney (Tami) Bordeau of Kalkaska, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will take place on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Munson Hospice, 1105 Sixth St., Traverse City, MI, 49684.
