He was retired from Pratt Whitney as a machinist, and was former pastor at Mount Hope Baptist Church in Warm Springs. Mr. Lott was preceded in death by his daughter: Melanie Cervantes, father: Ben Lott, Jr. and brother: Jimmy Lott.

He is survived by his wife: Elaine Lott, son: David Lott and wife Lea of Warm Springs, daughter: Ashley Lott of Columbus, GA, mother: Virginia Hutchinson of Cataula, brothers: Danny Lott and wife Peggy of Cataula, Ricky Lott and wife Brenda of Cataula and Gene Whitten and wife Emma Jean of Cataula, grandchildren: Michael Lott of Jonesboro, Madison Yates, Dawson Yates, Sammy Yates and Austin Cervantes, great-grandson: Grayson Lott. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus, GA with Pastor Travis Rigsby officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
