Obituary for David Robin Chance David Robin Chance, 78, of Little Rock, passed from this life on Sunday, April 29. He is survived by his sons David Scott Chance, of Lafayette, Colorado, and Michael Alan Chance, of Springfield, Ohio. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Kate Keith, of Benton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Diel Chance, Jr., and Mildred Major Chance, as well as his brothers George Diel Chance III and Victor Pat Chance. Born in Benton, David graduated Benton High School in 1957. He joined the Arkansas Army National Guard as a young adult, and served actively for 37 years, ultimately achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 5 (the highest Warrant Officer rank in the United States Army).

He was lauded for his exemplary technical expertise and remained highly respected by his coworkers throughout his service. He was also an avid and skilled bowler. Visitation will take place on Thursday evening, May 3, from 6 – 8 pm at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, and graveside services will be held on Friday, May 4 at 11:00 am at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Arkansas Humane Society, in honor of his life-long love of animals, and specifically of his surviving four-legged best pal Stormy.
