David went to be with the lord on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters; Frances Covington, and Debra Jackson.
He leaves behind his legacy to his long life love; Nancy Carter, 3 sons; David Covington, Devon Covington, and Dell Covington, 2 brothers; Thomas Covington, and Michael Covington, 2 sisters; Judy Long, and Annette Moore, 5 grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. David loved his German Shepherds. He also loved fishing, taking care of his garden, and most of all spending time with his grand kids.
He was definitely a family man, and a GREAT father. David enjoyed listening to blues, and working on cars. He made the best banana pudding in the world.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Avenue SE, at 11:00 AM.
