Davina Cureton Wilson of South Eleventh Street, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Carlsbad Medical Center. She was Born January 15, 1949, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to Cecil and Rena Cureton. She graduated from Carlsbad Senior High School, went on to obtain a License of Cosmetology from Carlsbad Beauty School and later attended NMSU-C and received an Associates of Teaching Degree in 1997.

She married James E. Wilson in 1975 with whom she maintained a home and cared for her pets. Davina was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Rena Cureton; three brothers, Earl Cureton, Burrel Cureton, and Tommy Cureton. She is survived by two brothers, Edwin (Bud) Cureton and James Terry Cureton; also nieces and nephews, step children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She will be truly missed by them all. A memorial service is scheduled for 9:00 AM Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Paradise Ranch Chapel with Travis Lee officiating. Cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation.
