Obituary for Deborah A. Maguy Deborah A. Maguy, “Debbie, Mom, Nana, Auntie D.” 68, of North Dighton, died at home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. Debbie was born in Fitchburg, MA, on March 30, 1950, the daughter of the late Edward “Speed” Richards and Mary M.(Todd)Richards. She was a graduate of Duval High School, in Maryland, and attended Mount Wachusett Community College for Accounting.

Debbie was an active member of the Dighton Lions Club serving the community for many years. She also worked many years as a travel agent in three Massachusetts towns. Being family oriented, she coordinated the transfer of two great grandchildren, Melissa and Nathan Richards from Massachusetts to their grandfather Tod Richards in Arizona.

Debbie raised five boys, Michael, Andrew, Christopher, Denis and Godson Benjamin Richards. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends, especially family holidays and time with the grandchildren and summers at the lake in Ashburnham. She also enjoyed working on genealogy with her dear friend and relative Patricia Delaney.

Debbie was the loving wife of Denis F. Maguy for over 45 years and she is survived by her son Michael and wife Ludeen of Limington, ME, son Andrew and wife Stephanie of North Dighton, MA, son Christopher and wife Darcey of North Dighton, MA, son Denis Jr. and wife Amy of Phillipston, MA and Godson Benjamin and wife Liz Richards of East Taunton, MA. Loving Nana to Kelly and Emily, Christopher and Madison, Collin and Brody, Mellisa and William and Arianna and Myles. Debbie is also survived by her brother Gary and Melanie Richards of Westminster, MA, brother Tod and Theresa Richards of Arizona and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018, at 9am, from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. , Taunton, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial, at 10am, in St. Nicholas of Myra Church, 499 Spring St., N. Dighton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Burial will follow in the Dighton Veterans Cemetery, Dighton. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 1-5pm, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Dighton Ambulance Fund, 300 Main St., Dighton, MA 02715.
