Obituary of Debra Marie Kruse Debra Marie Kruse, 62, of Saginaw , our devoted, fierce, and most wonderful wife, mom, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, March 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Deb was born in Saginaw on November 16, 1956, the daughter of the late Ross and Barbara (Call) Jones. She attended Arthur Hill High School and graduated with the first graduating class at Swan Valley High School .

While in school, Deb met Richard “Dick” Kruse. They reconnected later in life, dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on July 17, 1982 at Second Presbyterian Church in Saginaw . Deb retired from General Motors/Delphi after 30 years of service in 2006.

Known for her strong work ethic, Deb worked on the assembly line, and was an ergonomic and lab technician for testing. She was also a secretary at Joan Malone Dance Center and Extreme Dance Arts since 2000. In her free time, Deb enjoyed organizing family functions and family trips to Frankfort , where she enjoyed the beauty of Lake Michigan .

Above all, she loved spending time with her two granddaughters, who were the light of her life. Deb was the anchor of the family; the glue who always held everyone together. Her loving ways and zest for life will live on for generations to come.

She leaves to carry on her legacy, her devoted husband of 37 years, Dick and their two children: Adam Kruse and Kelsey (Zack) Krieger. Deb was the most loving and supportive Nana of Lillian and Matilda Krieger, and will forever be missed by her siblings, Ross Jones, Jr., Mike (Peggy) Jones, Karen Jones (Troy White), Carolyn (Tim) Stewart, Mary (Scott) Wenzel, Pat (Julie) Jones, and Keith (Lisa) Jones; brothers-in-law, George (Tammy) Kruse and John Kruse, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Deb was welcomed home to heaven by her father and mother-in-law, George and Carol Kruse.

Deb’s family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 2:00 PM until Deb’s 5:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services (formerly Reitz-Herzberg), 1550 Midland Rd. , between State & Gratiot. Officiating will be Mr. Tom Herzberg, with cremation to follow.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family, c/o Adam Kruse, for a dance scholarship fund to be established in Deb’s memory at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www. skorupskis.com.
