Obituary for Delsie Glenda Hall Delsie Glenda Hall went to Heaven from home on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 4:05 p.m. She was surrounded by loved ones and tenderly attended by 2 precious granddaughters. She had lived the past 4 years with her daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne & Allen in Godfrey, IL. She was a Christian all her life and was ready to meet the Lord.

She was anxious to be reunited with her husband and her sweet mama. Glenda was born March 15, 1928, in Pilot Knob, MO to the late Everett and Goldie Jones. Glenda was a twin, having a twin brother Glen.

Glenda graduated from Ironton High School in 1946 and was a proud alumnus all her life. She was the last member of her family and was proud to have reached 90 this year. Glenda married Forrest Hall on March 28, 1958 and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage before he passed away in 2014.

Together they raised 5 children. They traveled for Forrest’s job. Glenda always looked forward with expectation to each new location.

The first thing they did once they moved was to find a home church and get the family involved. Her favorite experience in travel was the 3 years they lived in Germany. Glenda and Forrest served the Lord with gladness wherever they lived.

They spent many years ministering to the elderly at The Olin Home, Skyline Towers, and Hillcrest. He preached, and she led the singing. She was always involved in Bible studies and especially loved being a part of Women’s Aglow in Alton.

She was the Aglow Hospitality Chairman and loved to welcome anyone who came to their meeting. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Carmen Noack, Cortney Frosch, Vanessa Nichols, Kyle Hovey, and Aria and Jaden Langer.

There are 10 great grandchildren. She loved each member of her family and prayed for them faithfully. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest, her parents, and all her siblings, Ethel Fisher, Raymond, Jehu, and Glen Jones.
