Delvine C.M. Engelkemeyer, 102, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at Bethesda Southgate, St. Louis, Missouri. Delvine was born on a small farm near Hermann in an area called Little Berger on May 17, 1916, to Fred & Emily (Zoeller) Tinnemeyer. She was married to Armin Engelkemeyer on August 29, 1940, in New Haven, Missouri.

Armin preceded her in death on January 10, 1982. Delvine was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, and the St. Paul’s Women’s Fellowship. Delvine is survived by a daughter, Margie (Carl) Lerbs-Flood, of St. Louis, Missouri; a son, David (Susan) Engelkemeyer, of Hull, Massachusetts, by grandchildren, Kent (Sue) Lerbs, of St. Louis; Kurt (Yvonne) Lerbs, of St. Louis; Kelly (Sandra) Lerbs, of St. Louis; Kimberly (Brion) Burke, of Imperial, Missouri; Kristen (Brad) Chalifoux, of Hull, Massachusetts; and Jason (Erin) Engelkemeyer, of Marshfield, Massachusetts; by great grandchildren, Sarah, Samantha, Michael, and Amanda Lerbs, Dylan & Jacob Burke, Liam & Adalyn Chalifoux, and Grace & Jason J. Engelkemeyer, and by a great-great grandchild, Grayson Lerbs.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Delvine started her first job at the age of 17 for Bell Telephone as an operator. She later went to work for International Shoe Company in Hermann, then she became an Avon sales lady and then a homemaker.

She always enjoyed cooking and tending to her roses but her greatest passion was her unwavering love for her family and friends. She moved to St. Louis to be closer to her daughter Margie and her family about 12 years ago. Visitation will be held Friday, September 21st from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev.

Rodger Kiepe officiating. Burial will be at Hermann Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Paul U.C.C. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
