Dennis’ Obituary Dennis Michael Dent, age 47, of Northport, Ala. , passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Northport Medical Center. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.

Rev. Mark Adams and Rev. Gene Dockery will officiate.

A visitation will be held Wednesday one hour prior to services, with Tuscaloosa Memorial Park and Chapel directing. Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Kennon Dent, Jr.; and a brother, Dale Ray Dent. He is survived by his daughters, Gloria Miranda Dent-Currey (Chauncey), Kayla Dean Cunningham, Katrina Marie Haydin Dent, and Sierra Nicole Dent; a son, Jonathon Wyatt Naugher; a sister, Mama Tina Clark; brothers, Terry Dean Dent and Ken Dent; mother, Carol Ann Dent-Robertson (John).

Dennis worked as a jack of all trades, working in Tuscaloosa County. He was loved by everyone and never met a stranger. Dennis opened his home to anyone in need and never expected anything in return.

He loved his daughters and son, more than life itself, always giving everything he had. Pallbearers will be Chauncey Currey, Josh Watters, Sam Minchew, Jonathon Naugher, Joe Zetko, Jeremy Swiney, Tyler Storey, and Allen Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Swiney family, Doctors and staff at DCH, and Dr. Rampulla.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Soup Bowl at Hargrove Memorial Methodist Church.
