DeWayne William Dunning August 13, 1940 – January 24, 2019 Rochelle DeWayne William Dunning, 78, formerly of Esmond, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. DeWayne was born August 13, 1940 in Rochelle, the son of James and Arless (Hannemon) Dunning. They precede him in death.

DeWayne worked on Otto Heisner’s dairy farm for over 20 years. In all those years, he never arrived late or missed a day of work. In fact, Otto had to force DeWayne to take a day off or vacation.

DeWayne is survived by two brothers, Ronald Dunning of Rochelle and Melvin (Diane) Dunning of Florida; and three step-sisters, Kay Owens, Kim Personette, and Sue Shull all of the Rockford area. Cremation care has been provided by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Stillman Valley Cemetery.
