Velez, 75, of Houston, Texas will be held Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Hernandez Funeral Home 800 Fourth Street in Rosenberg. Burial will follow at W.O.W. City of Rosenberg Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday February 4, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Hernandez Funeral Home 800 Fourth Street in Rosenberg.

Ms. Velez was born December 9, 1943 in Rosenberg, Texas and she passed away January 31, 2019 in Sugar Land, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Enrique and Albina Cuarenta; her brother Enrique Cuarenta, II; her sister Trini Cuarenta, Jesusa Montalbo and Felicita Garcia. She is survived by her loving husband Eufemio Velez; her sons Victor Velez and wife Shelia Magana, Ruben Velez and wife Jessica Rodriguez, Michael Velez, Jacob Velez and wife Silvia; her daughters Sylvia Merwin and husband John, Lisa Mallicoat and husband John; her sisters Antonio Galvan, Juana Saucedo and Maricelena Rodriguez; along with 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren as well as other loving family members and friends.
