Obituary for Dixie Lou Wood Funeral services for Dixie Lou Wood, age 76, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 3:00 PM Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wood passed away Monday at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Dixie was born on January 31, 1942 in Coleman, Texas to Jodie and Lila Selph Tomlinson. She had lived in Brownwood most of her life and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children Sherry Davis and husband Harell of Brownwood, Jodie Dean and wife Cindy of seven grandchildren Courtney Norway, Cameron Davis, Jenna Dean, Gavin Dean, Kolin Dean, Marcus Shields and Kelsi Dean and five great grandchildren. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Cindy Dempsey and two brothers Tommie Tomlinson and Terry Tomlinson.
