Donald Cleveland “Don” Dove, Sr., 68, of Tifton passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 10th at 6:00 p.m. in Albritton Funeral Directors chapel with Rev. Todd Garner and Rev.

Bruce Brookshire officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening May 9th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Waites, Brady Sumner, Donnie Roberts, John Hicks, David Tillman, David Morris and Ed Branch.

Mr. Dove was born September 19, 1949 in Tifton to the late Preston E.P. Dove and Doris Griffin Dove. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donnie Sue Dove and his sister. He was married to Pamela Dudley Dove and was the owner of The Music and Gold Store.

Don attended Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado. He was a radio D.J. entertainer, lover of music especially the Blues. He played the harmonica and loved walking on sandy beaches.

Don graduated from Norman Park High School. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Dove “D.J.”, Jr. and his wife April of Tifton, Derrick and Kimberly Dove of Norman Park; two daughters and their spouses, Hope and Tony Exum of Tifton, Kimmie Dove and Laura Hayes of Tifton; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Preston Dove of Albany. The family would like to say thank you to Southern Care Hospice for the great care they received during his illness.
