Don Hess, age 79 of Sugar Valley, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Gordon Health Care. Don was born on December 21, 1939 in Detroit, MI to the late Frederick Hess and Marie Schmidt Hess. In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by: son, Bryan Hess; step-daughter, Janis Whiteside; and step-mother, Ica Mae Hess.

Don was a graduate from Ferndale High School, Class of 1958. He was a retired truck driver. Don is survived by: his wife, Renee Selman Hess; daughter, Deanna Rziemkowski and her husband Michael Oxendine; step-daughter, Jalyn Ullrich; two step-sons, Craig Holst and Todd Eatinger; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
