Donald E. James, 79, of Milligans Cove Road, Manns Choice, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. Mr. James was born in Rainsburg on August 27, 1939, son of the late Carl “Bud” and Margaret (Ott) James. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Lewis) James of 50 years, whom he married on September 7, 1968 in Buffalo Mills.

In addition to his wife Donald is survived by Son-Todd E. James; Daughter- Kelly wife of David Cheek; a very special Granddaughter-Kyla B. Cheek; and special Niece- Marissa (Pittman) Deneen. Donald is preceded in death by an infant daughter and a twin sister, Doris Pensyl, wife of Mark Pensyl. As well as sisters Bobbi Faust and Kay Walker and brother Dale James.

Mr. James was employed for 32 years by the Murry’s Steaks Company as a Driver/Salesman and was well known in the community as “The Murry Man”. Donald also was a Ham Radio Operator. He had a love of flying RC airplanes and would enjoy afternoons flying his models and attending air shows in the region.

Donald was a long-time member of the Manns Choice United Methodist Church, Manns Choice. Friends will be received on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 10-11 AM at the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg. A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00AM on Friday, January 11, 2019 with Pastor James Golla officiating.
