It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Eugene Hegedus announce his passing on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the age of 82. He will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life, best friend and wife of 60 years Judy. Don passed away at his winter residence in Naples, FL.

He had been wintering in Naples for the past 23 years. Donald was born March 17, 1936 in Detroit, MI a son of the late Johan and Eva (Stedman) Hegedus. Mr. Hegedus was a veteran of the United States Army.

Don’s career started as a carpenter before establishing Tridonn Construction Company in Muskegon, MI. His passions for developing then lead him to create Tridonn Development Company which would build motels, residential developments and commercial buildings which can be seen throughout Muskegon. He was also founding member of Community Shores Bank.

He retired from Tridonn Construction in 1994 but never lost his drive for developing. Donald was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. As an avid golfer he was a member of Muskegon Country Club and Imperial Golf and Country Club in Naples, FL.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Judy (Vallier) Hegedus; loving daughters, Linda (William) Boyd of Fruitport, MI, Jill (Brian) Boersema of Muskegon, MI, Kelly (Tim) Stone of Twin Lake, MI; cherished grandchildren, Carolyn, Josh, Ryan, Matthew, Jacob, Erin, Jesse, Austin, Tanner, Grant; and great grandchildren, Ellie and Grayson; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, John Hegedus, Eddie Hall and Verna Jean Krbez. A celebration of Don’s life will be held in Muskegon at the beginning of May and will be announced.
