Peter J. “Coach” Kokinda, 87, of Naples, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. Formerly of Highland, IN, he had been a Naples resident since 2004. He was born October 4, 1931 in Hammond, IN, the son of Peter J. and Margaret (née Dziak) Kokinda.

Mr. Kokinda is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ilse (née Burkhardt) Kokinda; his beloved children, James (Wendy) Kokinda of Lebanon, TN, Peter Kokinda of Schererville, IN and Judith (Daniel) Hussey of Naples, FL; his brother, John (Diane) Kokinda of West Palm Beach, FL; two cherished grandchildren, Tracey (Rick) Stroh and Jon (Erin) Kokinda; three treasured great grandchildren, Kylie, Morgan and Maggie; and two step grandchildren, Leah Conley and Evan (Erin) Conley. Services and burial will take place at a later date in Marblehead, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Avow Hospice, www.
