Obituary for Donald Harold Mangelsen FULLERTON—Donald Harold Mangelsen, 85, of Fullerton, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Fullerton Care Center and Rehabilitation in Fullerton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2017, at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton with Reverend Janice Farrell officiating. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton with military honors by American Legion Post 151 of Fullerton and Nebraska Military Honor Guard.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Donald was born August 14, 1932 to Oscar and Lowie (Moses) Mangelsen in Fullerton.

He grew up in the Fullerton are and attended country school. He started working on the farm. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean War.

When he came back, he worked for Milo and Lee Sonderup with seed corn. During the holiday season, he drove a vehicle that looked like a sleigh and toured many towns and states with another gentleman that dressed as Santa. They would entertain children wherever they went.

He enjoyed dancing at a young age, going to farm sales, and traveling. He also enjoyed repairing things. He was a member of the American Legion and Eagles Club.

He is survived by his brother, Willard of Macon, Missouri; sister, Faye Mangelsen of Moberly, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Paul, Pauline, Lisle, and Mary Lou.
