Obituary for Larry Dale Sabatka FULLERTON—Larry Dale Sabatka, 77, of Fullerton, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home in Fullerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton with Father David Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at Ss.

Peter and Paul Cemetery at Krakow (rural Genoa). Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 1st with a 7 p.m. rosary service at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Larry was born May 4, 1941 to James and Marie (Rezac) Sabatka at Wahoo. He graduated from Mead High School in 1958. In 1963, he was united in marriage to Helen Czarnick at Ss.

Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Krakow (rural Genoa). They moved to Fort Collins, CO where he attended Colorado State University and earned his Master of Science in Wildlife Management. He was then employed by Wyoming Game and Fish Department and, later, U.S. Forest Service in Wyoming.

His love of farming brought him back to Nebraska where he farmed between Silver Creek and Genoa. He finished his agricultural career as a manager at Central Valley Ag in Platte Center. After his retirement, Larry and Helen settled down in Dubois, Wyoming, before returning to Nebraska due to health reasons.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors in general. He loved reading books, particularly western and war history novels. He enjoyed talking with farmers in the local community.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Helen of Fullerton; sons, Chuck (Karla) Sabatka of Tulsa, OK, Ron (Denise) Sabatka of Wahoo, Chris (Paula) Sabatka of Dubois, WY, and Bill (Heather) Sabatka of Brisbane, Australia; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Adrian (Karen) Sabatka of Wheatridge, CO; and sister, Joan Jones of Fort Collins, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ellen Aldrich; and infant brother, Jimmy.
