Donald’s Obituary Donald Brooks of North Matewan, WV a son of the late William and Isabelle Brooks was born on December 25, 1942 in Loraine, OH departed this life surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday evening January 15, 2019 while an inpatient in the Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, KY. Donald was 76 years old. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by brothers Fred, Kenneth and Tom Brooks and a sister Patty.

Donald was a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam Era and the Cuban Missile Crisis on the ship that was referred to as The Amole. Donald and his wife Sandra then went on to start their own Floral Wholesale business-serving florists throughout the entire region for twenty-five years. When Donald was not working and on the road with his floral business he enjoyed spending time fishing.

Those that survive Donald include his wife Sandra Hall Brooks of North Matewan, WV; son Todd Allen Brooks of Lancaster, OH; step-daughter Tonya Mechele Carlson of Port Clinton, OH; sisters Debbie, Dody, and Jeanie; grandchildren Briana Carlson, Cameron Carlson, Deanna Lee “Dee-Dee” Brooks and Todd Allen Brooks Jr. “T.J.”; Donald will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In honoring Donald’s request no formal services will take place.
