Donald Ray Patterson, 75 of Earlington KY passed away on Monday, May 7th, 2018 in his home. He was born in Earlington on October 19th, 1942 to the late Toy Patterson and Laura Grant Patterson Johnston of Earlington. He was an Elder of the First Christian Church in Earlington.

He was a veteran of the Unites States Navy and served on the USS Yorktown. He had worked at Sears, and owned Patterson Appliance. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Ruth Patterson and his sister, Wanda Inglis.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three children: Rev. Kevin Patterson and his wife Jacquelynn of Kevil, KY, Stacey Harris and her husband Todd, of Florida, and Brent Tucker of Mayfield KY; one brother, Richard Patterson and his wife Shirley of Richland KY; seven grandchildren: Bailey Patterson, Addison Harris, MacKenzie Patterson, Peyton Patterson, Haylee-Jo Patterson, Ashley Aguilar, and Sierra Tucker; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, May 11th, 2018 at 11:00am at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington KY with Rev.

Steven Morse officiating and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington KY with military rites performed graveside by the Hopkins County Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 10th, 2018 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington KY and Friday, May 11th, 2018 from 9:00am until service time at the funeral home. Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
