Obituary for Donald Watson Weir Donald Watson Weir Age 80, of Braidwood, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home. Born June 28, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late Preston Reeves and Augusta (nee Watson) Weir. Donald graduated from Northwestern College in Chicago.

Veteran of the United States Marines, serving during the Cubin Missile Crisis. Member of the Christian Life Assembly in Diamond, IL. Don was a public affairs manager at Caterpillar Tractor in Joliet, IL, retiring in 1995.

Surviving are his wife, Donna M. (nee Perillo) Campbell-Weir, whom he married on May 15, 1998 in Joliet, IL; brother, Charles (late Jean) Weir of MD; step-sons, Scott (Darcy) Davis of Mena, AR and Rick (Christine) Campbell of Braidwood; step-daughters, Andrea Hartong of Joliet and Sandra (Guy) Hicks of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Matt, Tony, Jessica, Amanda, Andra, Beth, Eleya, and Jeremy; and 12 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were one brother, Lawrence Weir; and step-son, John Davis. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorial service will be at the Christian Life Assembly in Diamond on Saturday, October 27, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour preceding services. Pastor Randy Adams will officiate. Committal service with military honors will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Friday, October 26, at 10:30 a.m. R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory 401 E.
