Obituary for Donald “Pete ” Steele Donald “Pete” Steele (85) of Falmouth, KY passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at his home. He was born in Concord, KY on October 24, 1933, son of Garnett and Beulah Hitch Steele. Pete was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 109.

He was on the Pendleton Farm Bureau Board of Directors and held several positions at the Concord United Methodist Church. He was a UK basketball season ticket holder for 56 years and was an avid golfer and Pendleton County farmer. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Desmond, Wayne, George “Tom”, Ray and Floyd Steele and sister Carrie Lee Holt.

Pete is survived by his wife of 61 years Velma Miller Steele, sons David (Stephanie) Steele, Billy (Tammy) Steele and John (Margi) Steele, grandchildren Brandon, Molly, Patrick, Jessica, Tyler, Madison and Blake Steele, great grandchildren Logan, Gavin and Vivienne Steele, step grandchildren Clyde and Kara Kay Caldwell and Josie LeCrone, Nephew Mike Steele and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 4-8pm Friday, November 23, 2018 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, November 24, 2018, also at the funeral home.

Pete’s final resting place will be at Concord Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Concord United Methodist Church, Concord Cemetery or The American Legion Post 109.
