OBITUARY Donna Grupp July 21, 1957 – November 6, 2018 Donna Marie Grupp, age 61, passed on from this life on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y. Donna was a 1975 Graduate from Alden Central High School in N.Y. and continued her education at Alfred State College, N.Y. receiving a degree in Horticulture. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Rosemarie Grupp.

She began to work in her field of study at Harlem & Genesee Nurseries, however, after relocating to Virginia she moved into her long-standing career in the property management field. Donna is survived by her son, Justin Durrette; grandson, Jaekwon Bright; granddaughter, Jumisha Durrette; sister, Kim Armstrong (Barry); brother, William A. Grupp II, (Teresa); sister, Sheri Grupp; nephew, Brandon White (Iliana); nieces, Kelsey, Sarah and Erica Grupp; nephew, Will Grupp III; her Service Dog, Patton, and a host of extended family and friends. Donna’s courageous battle with juvenile diabetes spanned over 50 years and included both close calls and triumphs.

She loved spending time with family, and had an affinity for all animals, but a special love for dogs. She attended Cherry Avenue Christian Church, and some of her favorite pastimes were taking walks with Patton and playing solitaire. There will be a private graveside service at Holly Memorial Gardens.
