Donna’s Obituary Donna Kay Carter, 61, of Stephenson, Virginia, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at her home. She is reunited in Heaven with her mother who passed away in March. Mrs. Carter was born April 23, 1958 in Winchester, Virginia, daughter of the late John Franklin Carter and Anis T. Carroll Carter.

She worked as a delivery driver for Sponseller’s Flower Shop. She married James Lee Wright on January 29, 1993 in Boyce, Virginia. Surviving with her husband are daughters, Amanda Lynn Shepherd-Simmons and Kimberly Renee Shepherd, both of Winchester, VA; sister, Neecie Joyce and her husband, Mike, of Clearbrook, VA; brothers, Elmer Lloyd and his wife, Mel, of Clearbrook, VA, Joe Carter and his wife, Lynn, of Cross Junction, VA and John “Stinky” Carter of Winchester, VA; and the love of her life, her granddaughter, Abigayle Louise Simmons.

Her sisters, Regina Lynn Carter and Lisa Marie Carter, preceded her in death. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 P. M. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Eagles Club, Winchester, VA. Burial will be private.
