Donna Mae Falk was born to Hazel Lenore (Asleson) Falk and Albert Thomas Falk in South St. Paul, MN on September 3, 1937 in her Grandmother’s home. Donna was baptized in St. Augustine Church and attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she made her first communion and confirmation. Donna attended South St. Paul Public schools where she graduated in 1955.

After graduation she attended Globe School of Business and the U of M. She married James Otto on June 28, 1958 at St. Mary’s Church in New Trier, MN where she raised five children. Donna worked many years as an executive secretary at United Hospital until retirement. She served on the Hampton Township board for over 10 years and was the first woman to serve as supervisor.

She has served the local community in many ways, including board member of the Dakota Township Officers Association, member of the Planning Commission, member of the Dakota County Historical Society, advisory board member at the Dakota County Technical College Secretarial Training, member of the St. Pius Church Circle, Red Hat Society, and advisory board member of the Cannon Falls Hospital. She is survived by James, her husband of 60 years, children Gery (Debbie) of Hastings, James (Sara) of Randolph, Susan (Joe) of Randolph, Richard (Terry) of Hampton, and Randal (Tammy) of Hastings. She is also survived by her brother Tom (Marilyn) of Gold Canyon, AZ and sister Carol of Spooner, WI.

Donna was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Timothy, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association, or to the donor’s choice in memory of Donna.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 401 W. Colvill, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. There will be a visitation from 9:30 – 11:00 am also at the church, prior to the service. Private interment will be in the St. Pius Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donna’s 12 grandchildren.
