Donna Neman , December 16, 1942 — July 11, 2018

Donna Neman Donna Neman passed away July 11, 2018 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Donna was born December 16, 1942 in Cuyahoga Falls to Nello and Evelyn Caporaletti. Donna’s father Nello was lost in WWII.

She was later adopted by Bill Pace. Donna graduated from St. Vincent High School class of 1960 where she was a majorette. She attended Kent State University and received her Bachelor and both Masters degrees in Education from the University of Akron.

She was a Member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She was a business education teacher at Barberton High School for 27 years. She loved and was loved by her students and many kept contact with her years after graduation.

Donna was a long time member of Preswick Country Club and belonged to Christ Child Society of Akron. She volunteered at the Firestone Bridgestone Tournament for 16 years. Donna will be missed by her friends in golf league at Barberton Brookside and Turkey Foot golf courses, as well as her golf league at Legacy Country Club in Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Florida.

Donna has many friends that go as far back as grade & high school. She had a reputation for selling houses and building new ones. She did it five times.

Donna was a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and attended many of their games as well as traveling to many of their Bowl games. She loved to travel and attended the British Open in Scotland at St. Andrews in 2010 and again in 2015. In 2015 after the British Open she took a ten day cruise to all the major cities along the Mediterranean Coast.

In her early years she was a dancer in the Gene Shepard Dance Group. She was a long time parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 54 years, Denny; and her children, Chris (Lisa) of Houston, Texas, Kimberly (Greg) Whitcomb of Columbus, and Kevin (Erikka) of Akron; and grandchildren, Linsey, Sarah, Justin, Melanie, and Gabriel.

Calling Hours 2:00-6:00pm Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd, Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd, Akron 44319, PROCESSION WILL FORM AT CHURCH. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
