Obituary for Mr H. James “Jim” Scranton H. James “Jim” Scranton of Akron, OH passed away June 16, 2018 after a short illness. Jim graduated from Beaver Falls High School, attended Valparaiso Technical Institute and retired as an Electrical Engineer. He served in the US Navy, was involved in Amateur radio and attended Tallmadge Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Louise Scranton; sister, Jackie; and daughter, Deborah. Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley of 60 years; son, Robert; daughter, Annette; and three grandsons, Cory, Devin and Ethan. Funeral services will be held MONDAY, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Billow FALLS chapel, 1907 23rd.

St., Cuyahoga Falls with Pastor Andy Alberts officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held SUNDAY, June 24 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
