Obituary of Donna O’Brien Donna L. O’Brien, 78, of Monroe Twp. , passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on her birthday Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. She was born January 3, 1941 in Painesville, Ohio the daughter of the late David A. and Diantha E. (Wolfe) Lewis.

Donna married the love of her life James O’Brien on October 10, 1964 Donna was a member of the Rebekah Marina Lodge #625, and the Monroe Sirens where she was active and made many friends. She was also a faithful member of St. Joseph Church in Ashtabula. Donna loved to play cards and listen to Elvis.

She also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Cavaliers and in her younger years gardening, canning and sewing Donna is survived by her daughter, Colleen (John) Porfilio of Monroe; sons James E. O’Brien II of Kirtland, and Michael (Tasha) O’Brien of Conneaut; sister, Bonnie Lewis of Cleveland; in-law’s, Jim Goebel and Catherine (Herbert) Higley, both of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Kaylee Guesman, James (Brianna) O’Brien, Katelyn (Alex) Borden, Gregory O’Brien, Scott O’Brien, Jenna Porfilio, Madelyn Porfilio, Avery O’Brien and Michael O’Brien, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Maelynn Guesman; and her brother, David Lewis of Monroe Township. She was preceded in death by her husband James in 2003; sisters, Juanita Tackett and Beverly Fenton; sister-in-law, Ellen Goebel; infant brother Johnny and infant sister Yvonne; and her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM, Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with Rev.

Fr. Miller, presiding. Burial will follow at Kelloggsville Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2PM-5PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030. Memorials in memory of Donna may be given to the Monroe Sirens or St. Jude’s. Envelopes will be available.
