Mrs. Doris Stephens Jones “Blue Eyes”, 90, of Swainsboro, GA. passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Emanuel County Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mrs. Jones was born on September 24, 1928 in Swainsboro, GA.

to Charles A. Stephens and Mary Elizabeth Douglas Stephens. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Stephen Jones, and husband, Varnell Jones. Mrs. Jones was a secretary at Mercer University for several years.

She loved Christmas time and enjoyed baking cakes. Mrs. Jones was a member of High Point Church of Macon. Survivors include a special nephew, Ronald Gay of Ludowici, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.
