Services for Doris Bryan Brown, age 88, of Dexter, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 18, 2019, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Middle Ground Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.

Mrs. Brown died Thursday, February 14, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved all of her extended Bryan and Brown family. Mrs. Brown was a lifelong resident of Laurens County.

She was a homemaker and owner/operator of Brown’s Nursery. Mrs. Brown was a member of Cadwell Baptist Church and a former member of Middle Ground Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and involved in many activities. She was preceded in death by her parents, David J., Jr. and Ida Hatcher Bryan; husband, S. W. Brown; son, Samuel William Brown; daughter-in-law, Dianne Mullis Brown; and brothers, Bobby L. Bryan, and Howard J. Bryan.

Survivors include her son, David Andrew Brown, of Dexter; sisters, Ethel Bryan Dykes, Louise Bryan Mullis, Shelia Bryan (Herman) Hall, Katrina Bryan (Bobby) Mathews, all of Dexter, and Marcia Bryan Weathersbee, of Chester; grandsons, Bobby (Michelle) Hall, of Kennesaw, and Travis (Jenny) Hall, of South Korea; great grandchildren, Ethan Hall, Connor Hall, Tyler Hall, Landon Hall, and Colton Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry Green, Kevin Bryan, Ben McCoy, Cecil Couch, and Buddy Bryan will serve as pallbearers.
