Services for Ricky Amerson, age 69, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs North Cemetery. Rev.

Robert Rogers and Kevin Eubanks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Ricky died at home Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Ricky was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. Ricky was a kind, loving husband, father, and Papa. He had a great sense of humorand enjoyed gardening, cooking, and playing with his dog, Sam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. T. and Eunice Owens Amerson, and sister-in-law, JoAnn Harris. Survivors include his wife, Mary Amerson, of Dublin; children, Julie Knight, of Woodstock, Miiah (Kevin) Eubanks, of Reynolds, Jason (Dorothy) Amerson, of Garretta, Jonathan (Tammi) Knight, of Reynolds; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Earl (Reva) Amerson, of Macon, James (Sybil) Amerson, of Rentz, Andy (Susan) Amerson, of Cedar Grove, Gary (Melody) Amerson, of Garretta; sisters-in-law, Jean Hendry, of Pachuta, MS, Faye Williamson, of Zion, IL, and Carol Edenfield, of Richmond Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jason Amerson, Christian Cannon, Kollin Eubanks, Kevin Eubanks, Jonathan Knight, Joey Amerson, Owen Knight, and Joe Gunn will serve as pallbearers.

Toby Amerson, Jim Brown, Danny Evans, Tim Amerson, Harold Milar, Andy Amerson, Gary Amerson, Earl Amerson, and James Amerson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
