Crawford, age 88 of Boardman, passed away at home on Thursday May 2, 2019. Doris was born December 3, 1930 in Oil City, Pa. a daughter of Thomas M. & Marquerite Burns Nelson.

She was a teacher and head librarian for 30 years at the former St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. She was a member of Beta Phi Mu Honor Society. Her husband Robert Wilson Crawford whom she married June 21, 1954 passed away July 4, 1994.

Doris will be sadly missed by her family; her daughters Carol Pine of Girard and Alison (James) Wess of Hubbard, and two grandchildren Andrew Wess and Amanda Wess. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and a brother. There are no calling hours or services.

Memorial contributions may be made in Doris’s memory to Boardman Community Baseball, 410 McClurg Rd. Boardman, OH 44512. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
