After 95 years of life, our Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother has joined the Heavenly choir. She is finally home, safe in the arms of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wittenbach on May 25, 2005.

Doris L. Wittenbach of Greenville and the Belding area passed away on June 14, 2018 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Doris was born on July 8, 1922 in Belding, the daughter Elon and Anna (Hollenbeck) Johnson who preceded her in death as well as her brother, Duran (Dugan) Johnson and sister Margaret Luscombe. She was a graduate of Belding High School with the Class of 1940 and one of the first girl cheerleaders ever at Belding High.

Her entire life was spent in the Belding area. She married her high school sweetheart and together they enjoyed 64 years of happiness together. Doris is survived by her children, Sheryl Fagerlin of Belding, Betsy Lillie and Tom Wittenbach of Greenville, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother in-laws and sister in-laws Calvin and Marilyn Wittenbach of Greenville and Sue Croskery of Houston, TX, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren helped fulfill her life. She was so proud of them all. Please join us in celebrating her blessed life on earth and journey to Heaven.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday June 19th at 10am at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Than Johnson officiating. Committal prayers will follow at Ashley cemetery. The family will greet friends and family from 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be given to the Alvah N. Belding Library, the Belding Museum or the Van Andel Institute, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
