On October 27 2018 Doris used the angel wings she so rightfully earned and departed this earth and went into Heaven. Doris Mae (Duncan) Cherro was born to Giles & Anna Mae Duncan on November 19, 1933. On a blind date she met John Cherro & shortly after, on March 21, 1953 they were married in Duluth, MN.

Doris worked at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Ontonagon as a LPN for many years. She was a very kind & caring person and made many forever friends there. Doris is survived by her husband of 65 ½ years John, her children Johnny, Susan (Dave) Latvis & Tammy (Steve) Cherro, 2 grandchildren who she loved with all her heart & that were her pride and joy, Shea Anna Mae Cherro & Cameron John Latvis, her furry child Mocha (her cat), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends that she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Claude, brothers Giles, Howard & Robert Duncan & sister Arlene Bothwell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon on Tuesday October 30th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery in Ontonagon.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. The Cane Funeral Home of Ontonagon is assisting the family.
