Doris Mae Lewis, 89, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville. The family will receive Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 3 until 4:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.

Mrs. Lewis was born November 06, 1928 to Andrew and Alice Bass Jackson. She is survived by three sons, James Lewis and wife, Carol of Castle Hayne, George Allen Lewis of Pikeville and Ray Lewis and wife, Pamela of Pikeville; one daughter, Claudette Cobb and husband, Douglas of Pikeville; one brother, Ernest Jackson and wife, Linda of Dudley; one sister, Rachel Mozingo of Pikeville; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, George Harold Lewis; three brothers, David Jackson, Thurman Jackson and Russell Jackson and three sisters, Elsie Hinson, Elizabeth Collier and Esther Jackson.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
